Catholic Regional College invites applications from suitably qualified teachers for the role VCAL Specialist Teacher.

Position Overview:

The role of the teacher/trainer at Catholic Regional College Sydenham is to be the primary facilitator through whom the College fulfils its mission of providing a Catholic secondary education for young men and women from varying socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds in the region. What teachers believe, know and do in partnership with students, colleagues, parents, the wider community and local Parishes, enables the College to provide for the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of students. In the context of the Mission Statement, policies and procedures of the College, teachers are accountable to the Principal for academic, pastoral, professional, developmental and administrative responsibilities.

Teaching Methods Required:

1. VCAL - Personal Development Skills
2. VCAL - Literacy and/or Numeracy
3. VCAL - Work Related Skills
4. Ability to teach Religious Education preferable but not compulsory.

Successful applicants will be able to fulfil the following additional requirements:

1. Must comply with the CRC Sydenham Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct.
2. Must hold a current VIT registration.
3. Must be available for commencement at the start of the 2018 school year.
